Now, choose Open Sophos Endpoint Security and Control to open the main interface.
When the window opens up, navigate to the Updating section and click Configure Updating.
The Properties for Sophos AutoUpdate window will now open. In this window, click the Primary location tab.
Now, choose Sophos in the Address field and enter the correct User name and Password to access the update source of Sophos.
If you are using a proxy network, enter its information in the Proxy Details field.
Cause-2: Error in the alc.log file
Examining the log file to find out the error would help you to fix it.
Open the Sophos Endpoint Security and Control window as mentioned earlier, select View updating log.
Next, find the Message column and carefully read the texts.
Search for the message line “Sophos AutoUpdate started” and then read the update texts upwards to know the error.
