On your Windows computer, make sure that you have a stable Internet connection.
Try updating your Bitdefender software manually.
Open the notification area at the bottom-left corner of the screen and locate the Bitdefender icon.
Right-click on the Bitdefender icon and select the Update Now option.
Ensure that no firewall is blocking the Bitdefender software. If so, turn it off until you update the Bitdefender software.
If necessary, restart your router and reconnect your computer to the wireless network.
To avoid Wi-Fi Interference, place your computer closer to your router.
If you are using a proxy, verify that it has been properly set up.
Launch Bitdefender on your computer and navigate to Settings > Advanced.
Click on the Proxy server button to enable it. Usually, Bitdefender will import your proxy settings from the default browser.
To change the proxy settings, click the Advanced tab from Bitdefender Settings.
Click on Proxy Change and select Custom proxy settings to change the required settings.
If you do not have a proxy connection, launch Bitdefender and go to Settings > Advanced.
Ensure that the Proxy server option is turned off.

If the problem persists, click the Start menu and type ‘Internet options’ in the search panel.
From the search result, click the Internet options tab to open the Internet Properties window.
Go to the Connections tab and click the LAN settings button.
Deselect the Use a proxy server for your LAN checkbox and click OK.
